The memorial window over the High Altar was installed by Canon Thornton and the Parishioners in 1947 in thanks for the safe deliverance of the Church during the Blitz and for the heroism of a former parishioner Captain Michael Allmand who was awarded the Victoria Cross for his heroism in the Far East.
