Play and Pageant Union put on "The Merry Wives of Windsor"
The Union performed this Shakespeare play in 1952, once more in the Pageant Ground. Featured in the photos of the cast is Phyllis Moore, who donated many of the documents related to the Play and Pageant Union.
Formed after World War I in 1920 after uniting the Pageant Committee with the indoor dramatic activities of the Suburb, it eventually merged with the Speedwell Players in 1966 to form the Garden Suburb Theatre which is still active now.
