Lease granted for Hampstead Garden Suburb Synagogue

After being refused grounds that were originally intended for a church, a lease was granted in 1934 backing on to the Lyttelton playing fields at the northern end of Norrice Lea. The still relatively small community gained the support of the United Synagogue and therefore could build a small synagogue and appoint a spiritual leader, Reverend Isaac Levy was its first full time minister.
