Rev Tony Spring was minister for the Free Church from 1992 to 2004. During his time he attatched particular importance to pastoral work and raised £120,000 over the course of his ministry, much of which was spent on rebuilding the Norman and Beard Organ which had been part of the church since 1912 and is now used for regular concerts.
