It is now providing sheltered accomadation for the elderly.

Plaque above the Barnett Homestead
This plaque above the Barnett Homestead commemorates the funding that shipbuilder and philanthropist Sir Alfred Yarrow gave to construct the Barnett Homestead. The building consists of 12 apartments designed to house soldiers widows and their children.
The building is now Grade II listed.
