Peter McCluskie writes: These are some images of Northway Gardens, taken the day following the flooding.

The visible - and fairly minor - damage seems to be mainly to the tennis courts... although that did not stop play! The banks of the brook may have been affected of course.

Fortunately the Rose Gardens, which the Residents Association and others have financially supported so much over the past 7 years, was not affected at all.

This fallen willow in Northway Gardens was the result of the flooding.

Marilyn Greene writes: This photo was taken 21 July 2021. The Tennis courts have been restored by there is still a gaping hole in the pavement after the flood of 12/7/21.

Marilyn Greene writes: I saw the fallen willow tree in Northway whilst doing a practice run of the Capital Ring Walk 11: Hendon to Highgate that I will be leading for a group. I was struck at how small the roots were. I have always loved the trees along this stretch. When I was a child, Mutton Brook was completely lined by weeping willows, and I used to go out and sketch them. Sadly, several have had to be felled over the years.
