Institute Space (Hampstead Garden Suburb Synagogue)

In the early 1930s the number of Jewish residents in the Suburb was rising, which created the need for a synagogue and communal centre. This was initially met in 1932 by the provision of a space within the Institute for small size Sabbath services, however a purpose-built Synagogue was needed.
