Caroline was the sister of Frederick Pethick-Lawrence and sister-in-law of Emmeline Pethick Lawrence, who were very prominent in the WSPU, lived in Hampstead and produced (and largely funded) the WSPU newspaper Votes for Women (until they fell out with Emmeline Pankhurst).
Caroline was said to be a suffrage activist but there is little reference to her or to her activities.
