Play and Pageant Union put on "The Rose and The Ring"
This was the Play and Pageant Union’s 50 cast member strong adaptation of William Thackeray’s Fireside Pantomimes for Small Children, which was again met with praise from a critic, who paid special notice to the wonderful sets.
Formed after World War I in 1920 after uniting the Pageant Committee with the indoor dramatic activities of the Suburb, it eventually merged with the Speedwell Players in 1966 to form the Garden Suburb Theatre which is still active now.
