Sanfairyann was a medley of shorts created by two of the members of the Union, and was described well by critics, with one saying that they could see the Union in the future staging new plays prior to West End production – a success in other words!
Formed after World War I in 1920 after uniting the Pageant Committee with the indoor dramatic activities of the Suburb, it eventually merged with the Speedwell Players in 1966 to form the Garden Suburb Theatre which is still active now.
