Rev William Major Scott was the second minister of the Free Church, serving from 1922-31. During his time at the church he raised funds for a building a Church Hall in Northway giving a home to the Sunday School. He also oversaw an explosion in enthusiaism for starting groups and societies. He left in 1931 to become minister for the Union Church in Brighton.
